Jay Jones (1924-2024) and Mary Jayne Jones (1924-2022) were married 72 years, living most of that time in the Seattle area. They enjoyed traveling, skiing and tennis, loved entertaining, and had a passion for collecting art. They had diverse artistic interests, from an extensive collection of Arctic Inuit sculpture to archaic Asian artifacts and an exquisite collection of early 20th century Japanese lacquer scholar's boxes. In addition, they had a unique collection of American paintings ranging from historic to contemporary.
