Los Angeles – Bonhams Los Angeles will host a series of events this February timed to Frieze Los Angeles which returns for its sixth edition. Following the devasting fires in Los Angeles, the art community has stepped up to support their community in profound ways. Bonhams, a fixture of the Los Angeles art market, has partnered with one of California's biggest and most recognized non-profit organizations, Project Angel Food to support the organization and their efforts which are more crucial than ever. Bonhams will also present an exhibition during Frieze in partnership with Hypebeast and host its annual Post-War & Contemporary Art auction in March.

Bonhams will present an exhibition in partnership with Hypeart. Titled THRESHOLD, the exhibition will explore the tension between history and change, featuring works by Shepard Fairey (b. 1970), Beverly Pepper (1922-2020), Sam Gilliam (1933-2022), Jim Campbell (b. 1956), Georg Baselitz (b. 1938), Richard Estes (b. 1932), and more.
A special event reception and panel discussion on February 20 will bring together Shepard Fairey, renowned artist and activist, Richard Scarry, art curator and dealer, Keith Estiler, Managing Editor at Hypeart/HYPEBEAST, Ralph Taylor, Bonhams' Global Head of 20th/21st Century Art, and Isabel Norsten, Specialist in Post-War & Contemporary Art at Bonhams. The discussion will explore the exhibition's themes and mark the launch of Fairey-isms, a new book by No More Rulers and published by Princeton University Press that offers insights into Fairey's approach to propaganda and power in art.

Bonhams will host the return of ANGEL ART, the acclaimed benefit auction, with 100% of proceeds going towards the vital work of Project Angel Food. This pivotal event unites the art community to support critically ill individuals in the aftermath of the devastating Los Angeles fires. Project Angel Food is projecting to raise as much as $400,000 from the sale of more than 70 world-renowned and emerging articles including Ed Ruscha (b. 1937), John Baldessari (1931-2020), Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008), Helen Frankenthaler (1928-2011), Richard Misrach (b. 1949), Louise Nevelson (1899-1988), Jim Dine (b. 1935), Salomón Huerta (b. 1965), Awol Erizku (b. 1988), Carmen Argote (b. 1981), Nao Bustamante (b. 1965), Todd Gray (b 1954), and many more.
Post-War & Contemporary Art

Bonhams Los Angeles will host its annual Post-War & Contemporary Art sale, bringing together some of the most influential names in contemporary art from across the globe to the vibrant Los Angeles market. Many of the pieces offered in the upcoming sale will be on view during Frieze Week as part of Hypebeast's exhibition.
The sale includes over 50 works, with several themes emerging, such as the offering of trailblazing female artists like Viola Frey (1933-2004), Lynda Benglis (b. 1941), Lee Krasner (1908-1984), and Joan Mitchell (1925-1992). Additionally, the sale features work from artists of the Light and Space Movement, including Ronald Davis (B. 1937) and Peter Alexander (1939-2020). A significant part of the sale includes a collection of 17 works from a private Napa Valley collection. Highlights include:
